Punk originated in the mid-1970's as an irritating, irregular uprising opposed to mainstream music charted by the number or sales. Bands alike Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, and Rancid boosted punk music back in 1990. This time the weave of lively, simple as soap rock with smooth popular melodies stayed on the TV. These days, so-called punk pop is the main piece of puzzle in the world of mainstream pop music. These 10 record albums are fine starting points to get closer to pop punk.
1. blink-182 - Enema of the State
In blink-182's endless attempt to insult any adults in the neighbourhood, this tape showed a person clothed as an enema nurse on the booklet. The punk pop inside is teenage and catchy including the massive hit single “Dysentery Gary.”
2. The Donnas - Spend the Night
Girls can play punk, as well, and this song is a profuse evidence of that. The group formed after the American rock band Ramones with each member taking the name Donna. Download Paramore to compare.
3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless
A band from Maryland Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas blasted into the top 10 of the pop album chart with this set. It is full with tales of college and problem parents. The smashing #1 song is “The Anthem.”

5. The Lemonheads - Ceiling Fan in My Spoon
The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Griffith Dando is the only punk performer to be known as a real teen idol. Along the way the band recorded some outstanding songs, too, including “Confetti”, “Download Paramore” and “Rest Assured” on this album.
6. The Offspring - Not the One
The Offspring a rock band were one of the devoted punk revival bands from the nineties. Rather often their songs touched with psychedelic rock and metal, but their most popular music is true punk. “Come Out and Play (Acoustic Version)” and “Not the One” are far beyond what is customary on this CD.

10. Weezer - Jamie (Blue Album)
Despite the fact that they are venerated as initiators of the anti-establishment rock music compositions, Weezer's music is also true pop punk in style. “My Name Is Jonas” was their first popular song and then a clip putting the rock band in a Happy Days episode stimulated to make “Buddy Holly” even bit more popular.
